It's been a while but here we are with another edition of what we on about this week, letting you know all the talk of the office.
Appdate
Let's start this off with the huge he elephant in the room, the app... it's still not been released, we know, but there's no point releasing something that isn't perfect. The app is currently in testing (still) and there will be a video of a full end to end bet that we'll be showing you all in the next few weeks. Soon a notification saying "this person wants to play this game for this amount of money" will soon be on your phones, so don't panic. The invite a friend feature is now live in our beta version meaning you will be able to find new people to bet with in the game rooms or you will be able to send an invite to one of your friends. The feedback we have received from our testers has also been incredibly positive.... we're nearly ready.
So Long Solo
Just as easy as it was here, it's gone. Respawn gave us the option to go it alone in our pursuit of being named champion but only for a limited time. It was glorious!.... for those of us that hate whoever we're dropping in with because they always pick the places that has either 4 other teams in or shit loot. It let us run free, go where we want without having some little 14 year old ping every single piece of leftover ammo, No more having to rescue some random bellend that hasn't grasped shield management. It was beautiful.... now its gone we realise what we had... we're sorry Respawn, please, take us back!!! or at least give us Duos to try.
September's for Sports
August gave us Madden, September will give us FIFA20, PES2020, NHL20 and 2K20 and the skill honing clock gets reset and we all get down to figuring out what's changed. These will be the games you'll be wagering on. £5 each per game of PES2020 has been this weeks wager of choice in the office. Everyone is quite equal, except one poor lad who hasn't won a game for 4 days so we've had to put him on time out. Which game will you be making money on?
Where's the boxing games?
Finally, where are all the boxing games? We haven't had a decent boxing title since 2011. Virtual UFC is great but it isn't the same as going toe to toe on a virtual canvas frantically bashing buttons. We are thinking of getting a petition going, personally we think this should jump the queue in front of the Area 51 invasion. Get behind our #RemasterFightNight campaign.
